The mission of LVC is to be a community of faith that unites people to
work for peace with justice.
Since 1979, more than 1,500 men and women have committed a year of their lives working for the comon good while exploring spirituality through the Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC). LVC recruits, places and supports full-time volunteers for a year of spiritual growth and service at more than 80 non-profit agencies in ten cities from coast to coast.
Lutheran Volunteer Corps provides service for advocacy and public policy centers, AIDS/HIV hospices, community organizations, schools, clinics, legal aid prorams, shelters, and many other non-profit agences.
